RESPONSIBILITY is one of the most desirable character traits. It means being accountable, dependable and trustworthy. Once acquired, it nurtures other character traits such as respect, peace ability, cooperation and caring.
Responsibility is the backbone of solid citizenship, friendship and self-reliance. It is vital for success in the home, school, neighborhood, and world.
The breakdown of this trait in our youth should motivate us to do everything we can to rebuild it in our students.
This past month, as you know, was designed to cherish RESPONSIBILITY. A number of academic and non-academic activities were carried out in the school.
On Thursday December 8, 2016 we will be celebrating the Big Day of our Value Responsibility. We decided thos year to emphasize the theme of
“WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT”
Waste, litter, and pollution negatively affect life on Earth. Responsible actions leading to pollution reduction could save money, protect resources, improve health, and lead to an overall higher quality of life. Strong values and good character traits are needed – now – for EVERYONE’S sake!
Students can learn to help their environment by understanding the problems and solutions of pollution and exhibiting the character traits of respect, caring, trustworthiness, responsibility, and stewardship.
Please send your child on Thursday wearing a green shirt, where a number of activities will be held in school during this last week and on the Big Day.
